Yesterday's cell was a little strange. Due to different reasons, all the girls decided not to turn up for cell. All except Veronica, who was the host. So it was 10 guys and a girl.
And what made it even more interesting was that this was the second time that it has happened. The last time it happened, Veronica was also the only girl at that cell. And that cell was at Veronica's old house. I wonder if the girls find Veronica's hosting intimidating......
Well, putting that aside, cell was fun. Veronica got us to play a game. Objective of the game was to unbutton a shirt using only chopsticks in the quickest time. We were split into 2 groups and it was hilarious. My team won in the end... after a bit of rule bending that is :P
After we got all warmed up, Joeru prepared us for worship with an opening prayer. Then Keith led us in singing praises to God. And Jeremoo split us up into pairs for accountability time.
We had a meeting to vote for what series we wanted to do next for cell. After Daniel and Joeru each took turns explaining their recommended series, we voted. Joeru read out the votes one by one, Survivor style. And it ended with 5 votes for Joeru's recommendation and 5 votes for Daniel's recommendation. In the end, Daniel persuaded us to use Joeru's recommendation, which is a study on the book of Mark. One of the main reasons was that it brought us back to the Word.
We continued and discussed about near-future plans, like the next few cells and the SOYMILK retreat.
With the meeting done, we found ourselves continuing to praise God. Singing to the tune of Daniel's guitar.
We had our dinner at the pool side and continued to fellowship till it was time for us to go home.
